Dear Akiko, Angela and Family,
Be at peace knowing what a wonderful blessing you've always been in dear Keith's life. You faithfully, lovingly and patiently stood by his side in good times and especially during his illness. His life was blessed by your love and tenderness. Now may Jesus bless you with rest. May the Holy Spirit bless you with comfort, peace, serenity, and the hope you wil see your precious husband, father, and brother again. He will be well, strong, and so happy to see you, with a bright smile on his face. He isn't gone, he's only away; you will see him again someday. May God hold you in the Palm of His hand and protect you always. You are in my prayers every day.

Hello David,
Many thanks for letting me know about Keith Woolliams passing. He seemed too young!
Keith touched my life too - from several visits to Waimea Arboretum, correspondence & through you in his meticulous records. He was always willing to talk & show me plants that I was interested in. I always thought of him as a combination of botanist, horticulturalist & conservationist - which he was, par excellence, and much more.
I never met any of his family, but send my condolences to all his family.
A lovely, hard-working, highly intelligent man ... such a loss to the world!

Hi Akiko,
We are so shocked that this has happened before we had more time together. I am too devastated to write anything right now, in sadness and regret that we did not find the time to be together more during our short lives. Thank you for the photo of you two. Akiko you look quite wonderful. it will remain in our collection as a lasting memory of 2 people we so enjoyed and respected. We just have a problem realizing that Keith is no longer there to talk to and write to tomorrow or today.
I will write later as soon as I have composed myself.

I have just two days ago sent out a Christmas letter to both you and Keith, not having any idea that he had died. So may I wish you the strength to find whatever comfort there is in living without him, though that may not be for some time. 明子さん
キース君が亡くなった事を聞いて大変残念に思います。
出張中に久子のメールで知りました。
キース君にお会いした日々を思い出し、しばしぼう然としました。
キース君は、水がたまったり、抜いたり体調の悪い日もたびたびあり
自分で歯がゆい毎日だったかも知れませんね。
明子姉さんも看病で疲れたことでしょう。
緊張の糸が切れたような感じかも知れませんね。
どうか、心を強く持って悲しいできごとを乗り切ることができるように
お祈り致します。
博実くんや、嫁さんもなにかと手助けしてくれそうで心強いですね。
みっちゃんとデイベットさんもさっそく駆けつけてくれたようでなによりです。
博実くんの子供達もたくさんの思い出をキース君に貰ったんでしょうね。
私は、今、キース君のご冥福を祈るばかりです。
初めてお会いした日や、いつも親切にしてもらって感謝の気持ちで一杯です。
明子姉さんは、ここしばらくは、あんまり先の事を心配するよりも、毎日毎日を穏やかにお過ごし下さい。
私と久子ともいずれお会いできる日が来ると思いますが、そのときは、たくさん思い出話をしましょう。

キースさんの訃報に接し心よりご冥福をお祈りいたします。
今思い出すのはＰＴＢＧでの１９７２年に最初にお目にかかったときのことです。それから、小生の人生がある程度方向つけられたとも思います。小笠原もしかり。。
今は気持ちが落ち着いておられないと思いますが、落ち着きましたら、いろいろと教えてください。
